It's been a while since my last update.....I've been busy! I am still here in Colorado with no departure any time soon. I am really liking it here! The campground is now just about full every night, and is booked until the end of the summer.

I am learning and doing lots of fun stuff helping in the park maintenance dept. Working with and meeting lots of new friends. I'm pretty good on the John Deer Tractor now. I mowed down a huge field of brush with the tractor and the brush hog attachment.

I also trained on the Bob Cat mini excavator...it's fun!!

I've moved my camping spot a few times. Don't like being under any trees. I am in a permanent spot now with no trees!

With the weather sort of starting to warm up, we are seeing rafters coming in. They will camp here in the park overnight then launch the rafts in the morning from our boat launch.

March 1st is the beginning of the season for fishing licenses. Since I love to fish and we have a lake right here in the park full of trout I couldn't resist! I had to purchase the non resident pass, $$$, so I will just have to catch a crap load of fish! HAHA!!

It took a while to figure out how to catch them. This is how it started out......

Not good at all, but I kept trying and finally figured it out! Now I catch my limit (4) pretty much each time I go.

                                                                    Fish Tacos!!
                                                                Been perfecting cutting filets!

There is also a Bald Eagle that lives near the lake and comes out to fish in the lake every afternoon! I love to watch him.....

We finally got a really nice day with warm temps so had to hit the hiking trails! Did what is called the Devils Canyon Loop. It was a great hike! Did about 8 miles. The scenery was crazy, pictures don't do it justice. The rock formations are so cool.....

This was a very old/primitive camp just off the trail

This was a cabin at the halfway point way out in the middle of nowhere

The hike started way back there at the start of the canyon

Looking back down the canyon, I hiked up the canyon on the left side and back down on the right side, hence a loop :)
There are rocks teetering all over the place

Can't wait to do some exploring, there is tons of it here to do!! Stay tuned.....

I have seen some wildlife, hope to see more...Bambi checking me out...
These geese were out on the river, the little ones were sooo cute!!

That pretty much wraps up this update. Next update sometime in the near future....

Stay safe everybody!!!
